1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and using The WaterWay, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be 18 years or older to use The WaterWay.
2. Your Account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
- You must provide accurate information when creating your profile
- One account per person — no fake or duplicate accounts
- You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen
3. Community Standards
To keep The WaterWay safe and welcoming for everyone, you agree NOT to:
- Post nude, sexually explicit, or offensive photos
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Impersonate another person
- Use the app for commercial solicitation or spam
- Share another user's private information without their consent
- Use the app for any illegal purpose
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or removal.
4. Your Safety
The WaterWay encourages in-person connection — and your safety is our priority. You agree to:
- Meet new connections in public places first
- Never board someone's vessel on a first meeting
- Use good judgment and trust your instincts
- Report any unsafe behavior using the in-app report feature
We are not responsible for the actions of other users. Please read our Dating Safety guidelines in the app menu.
5. Photos and Content
- You own the content you post
- By posting photos or content, you grant The WaterWay a license to display that content within the app
- You must have the rights to any photos you upload
- We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms
6. Captain's Club
- Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple In-App Purchases
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
- Refunds are handled through Apple's standard refund policy
- Features included in Captain's Club may change over time
7. Disclaimers
- The WaterWay is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee you will find a match
- We are not responsible for interactions that occur outside the app
- We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, at our discretion, without notice.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
